Moving Up and New Additions

The past two days two of our Beginners earned their titles and have now moved up into the Intermediate classes. They are Bear (NCh Heza Royal Storm x ICh Off The Coast Of Panama) and Ruby (ACh I Don't Wanna Believe x Raining Hott)

Also, four of our trainees have completed saddle training and are ready to start showing.

In news of the culling, we are still working on it, but we have made some progress. (Some is better then none, right? lol)

It is quite hard to believe that next month is already Spring. I have some breeding pairs in mind but nothing is set in stone yet. Late last night Lola foaled a bay colt by BCh Disguised Envisioned. Its the first time I've ever used this stallion. I'm not too thrilled about Bret's temperment and lack of pattern so we'll have to see how he develops. Three other mares are currently showing signs and I am getting pretty antsy. (:

We've also got a few more additional horses the past month. (Will I ever learn? xD) First off is Lady who I bought to add fresh blood into my Paint herd. Phoenix came next. Hopefully soon he'll be ready to hit the show scene. And most recently Moon, Angel and Angelos from Winchester Performance (thank you Marshal!) Hopefully Angel and her colt will be the (re)start of my Appendix QH program.

Thats all for now,

  1. I am SO excited to see you adding to your Appendix Program! I think you have such an incredible show program and I hope to see you continue to do great things. I cant thank you enough for all of the babies you have bought from me and have shown to their upper titles!

    I feel your pain with the culling. I too am in the middle of making a massive herd reduction. The babies you just purchased from me were part of that reduction. It hurts to see them go, they are such great horses with SO much potential, but COI is getting to be a big problem at my place. Time for fresh new lines!

    Good luck with them and thanks for sharing your gorgeous horses. Phoenix is a dream come true!

    1. I am excited too! I've finally decided to restart my Appendix QH program - I've got one foal due this year with more planned for next year. Thank you! And your welcome! I'm still trying to get Sage titled but he's getting older.

      I totally understand - with my QH's almost every one of them is sired by Cajun. O.o I'm currently looking to use either Hinder, Sage and Reagan next season or an outside stallion. The Paints aren't too bad off, but I am looking for fresh blood for them as well.

      Thank you! (;

  2. I'm going to be watching Nicole like hawk, as I tend to do with all of Catch's offspring. I love his babies and love seeing them do well even more.

    Everyone is culling and I seem to keep adding, but I'm darn glad to see another Appendix QH program going for sure! Now I just have to get my string in gear and start getting up to those darn show scores your herd gets! I swear they give me fits lol.

    1. I have two more of Catch's offspring that are currently showing - California Hot and Clearly Daring. He was a really awesome sire.

      Haha, I keep stalking the classifieds just to end up debating on buying another horse. lol. I'm really excited to see how my Appendix QH's will turn out! Lol.

    2. I do the same thing and I think the Classifieds know when I'm coming now.

      Catch was just... rawr. I miss having him around, but I'm having a great time with his foals and watching the foals that others are showing as well.
